Tweedmouth is located on the opposite bank of the River Tweed to Berwick. It is on the mouth of the River Tweed. Spittal is located on the bank by the river mouth too.It is reached via the Old Bridge which originates from 1624 but there has been a river crossing at that point since the 12th centuary
You can also reach Tweedmouth from Berwick over the Royal Tweed Bridge which was completed in 1928.
The final bridge that completes the vista is the Royal Border Bridge completed in 1850 and designed by Robert Stephenson
